Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center

Stayed here on a Saturday night as a midway point on a trip. First thing is that this hotel is not super close to downtown Eau Claire, so if you're visiting downtown I would suggest a different hotel.
We checked in in the early evening and this was when I had my first irritation with the hotel, which may have jaded my overall opinion if the stay. The woman who checked us in seemed very disinterested in helping us and also slightly irritated that we showed up. It kind of put a damper on the rest of my night. That being said, the rest of the staff that I spoke with were super friendly and very helpful, especially the morning breakfast staff and the woman who checked us out.
As for the room itself it was pretty standard. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was good. I will say, it didn't seem like the freezer worked all to well in our fridge however. Another thing of note was that there were stains on the drapes. Also, when we came into our room it definitely had a smell of smoke, even though it is nonsmoking. We weren't the biggest fans of that.
The complementary breakfast in the morning was pretty good. There were mini muffins, bagels, pastries, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, ham, waffles, assorted fruit, and hard boiled eggs. It was kind of nice that you could create your own egg sandwich. There were also packets of salsa which was a good addition.
I'd say this place would be bumped up to a 3 or 4 star if not for the service that first night.

Best hotel in the area! Wonderful manager and staff! Great variety to choose from for breakfast. Very quiet, comfortable and clean. Couldn't have been more impressed with our stay. Definitely felt like home!

Our room and the common spaces appeared clean, and we were comfortable.
They had a small fitness room, continental breakfast, wireless available, an on-site lounge, a pool, and pets are allowed.
The attached restaurant I believe doubles as a truck stop. We found the lounge to be bright, modern and clean and we met some great folks who gave us some good travel advice.

Nice, clean rooms. But there were always numerous smokers within 3-5' of each major entrance/exit. The disposals for cigerette butts are also right next to each door. Not even offset.

The room was a little plain, but it did the job. I had a birthday sleepover with a couple friends and we had a blast. We didn't hear anybody around us from the other rooms at all. It felt very private. The breakfast was a little plain, but still yummy.

I was looking for a room that we could stop at on our way to Minneapolis (from Appleton). The reviews for this hotel weren't all that great, but for the price, I figured I would take what I could get at the last minute. I was totally surprised when we got there. James at the desk was very courteous. The room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The pool was good and the breakfast was better than at other places we've stayed. The reviews I had read were way off!! My husband and kids and I decided that if we ever go back that way, we will definitely stay here again. I would recommend it to anyone. I certainly learned my lesson that you can't always believe what you read in the comments/review section!! The property has a nice little bar attached and a gas station right next to it. Very convenient location.

Staff was friendly and lobby was clean. Our room smelled like mold and the shower was really dirty. The towels smelled like a mixture of bleach and chlorine.

Perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable, easy to get to. We forgot our toothpaste, and they quickly provided us with a tube at the front desk.

From the hotel, it is easy to get to both Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. We were traveling on 29, going to the Twin Cities, so getting back on the road was quick.

We recently stayed here on 9/18 & 9/19 while in town for Oktoberfest; we found this place to be a good hotel for the money. The room was clean, well stocked with towels, soaps, and coffee. The employees were very welcoming and tried their best to help us whenever we needed something. This hotel is located conveniently between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, which allows you to experience both cities without too much effort. We didn't use the pool or other facilities, but we did go and look at them; the fitness center had brand new machines, a turbo fan, and a flat screen television. The pool area was clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious!!

Literally has everything someone would need. Plus, they gave us a late check-out without advanced notice (due to our schedule changing). Simply put, I'd hope to stay here again.
